This is the reality refugees in BC face after the Harper Government cut their health coverage in 2012. And while 6 other provinces stepped up to fill the gap, the BC Liberal government has not.
Health care professionals and British Columbians have opened their hearts, their wallets and their homes to refugees in their time of need. At the start of a Week of Reckoning organized by the Canadian Doctors for Refugee Health Care, Judy spoke out in the BC Legislature and called on the BC Government to provide health coverage for these vulnerable refugees.
