Constituents were asked to write their estimate of how many jelly beans were in the jar, and if they were closest, they would win the whole jar of jelly beans. Derek Hall had the best guess and therefore won the whole jar. The correct amount of jelly beans in the jar was 1061. Derek guessed 1082, which was the closest answer submitted.
Honourable mention goes to MP Peter Julian, who took one look at the jar and immediately guessed 1068, yet didn’t submit his answer in the contest.
